Star Wars strife...

Well, I said it before...this project is going to kick my ass. I'm somewhat proud of myself for correcting what could have been a hideous mistake requiring the undoing of two rows. With a 277 stitch cast on, that's not good news. But, with the aide of a spare set of needles, I was able to drop down two rows the width of the final S in wars where I made the mistake of adding in an extra set of three white stitches for the first leg of the R after the A (don't ask me how I did this) and I knitted the correct colours back in and worked back up the 2 rows to rejoin the rest of the work. I impressed myself with a) actually fixing it, and b) not crying and throwing it across the room (which seemed like a viable option when I first discovered the error.) There's some gappiness that I will have to deal with, but I don't think it will be noticeable in the least. As my mother said, it is being made with love and the person I give it to won't even think to notice it! I have now completed 24 rows of the 40 row pattern. Of course, I'm making it double height so I can graft it into a tube so I'm not even half done. But once it's all black (rows 41-80) it'll go fast, I'd expect.

I'm finding a lot of errors in the patterns...these are copyrighted things. If I'm making my own corrections, at what point would this still be the copyrighted pattern? Hmm....
